United 757 Diverts to Grand Junction After Engine Shut Down
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — An engine shut down on a United Airlines jetliner Sunday, forcing it to make an emergency landing in western Colorado with 125 passengers and crew on board. The Boeing 757 was flying from Denver to Los Angeles when one of its two engines shut down, and the flight was diverted to Grand Junction Regional Airport, typically a landing spot for smaller aircraft. (www.washingtonpost.com) עוד...And I highly doubt they had trouble finding stairs, as one passenger claims. They have no problem handling 757s there.

Rob, the photo you're seeing is simply poorly chosen stock footage of a 757-300. The actual aircraft involved was a 757-200, painted in United's old Battleship grey" colors. Just one more instance of the news media screwing up the facts in an aviation related story.
