Mysterious Travels of N824WA...HELP!
Can anyone out there tell me WHY the activities of N824WA do NOT show up on FlightAware since her last visit to Reading, PA on 22 March? This BIG Sikorsky has been seen repeatedly and photographed by yours truly on May 9, 10 and 11, over and around Reading, PA. The helicopter is registered to the US State Department but carries NO ID other than the tail number and she DOES NOT SHOW UP on FlightAware on those days. What kind of Foreign Policy initiatives could be going on in good ole Reading? Any… (youtu.be) עוד...

WOW interesting... I saw it yesterday flying around HGR. I am not sure but I think Obama may have been in Camp David. I also heard fighter jets flying around. I wasn't sure where it was heading to.

They are from ft. Indiantown gap base and are used for training pilots to fly them ... Krdg (millennium aviation) carries the govt. refueling contract so they stop there to refuel for training several days a week. Spot at rdg and you will see them often as well as other military helicopters. And yes they are state dept helicopters and since they are "military training" it will not show on flightaware
Thank you...mystery kinda resolved. Thing is the 22 March flights out of Perkasie are still on flightaware...why?
Besides the possibility of it operating under an untrackable military ident, not all civilian flights will have a trackable flight plan either. It is perfectly reasonable for low altitude flights (less than 18000 ft) to be conducted under VFR without any flght plan.
thanks again and please excuse my limited knowledge on these matters...it all seemed odd to me
