21 year old arrested for impersonating United employee

According to the federal complaint, the special agent said Foster interacted with the same gate agent again about a month later. Foster discussed the new computer program that United Airlines was using to manage seating and reservations and Foster then asked the gate agent if he could "shadow" her, the complaint said. Then explain how on Skywest aircraft that are painted in other airline liveries it says "Powered by Skywest" ? I am confused then..

United contracts SkyWest to fly certain routes. However they are two separate companies.

yup, Skywest isn't a subsidiary of United. Skywest also flies for United's competitor, Delta, and also US Airways.

Also now for Alaska. I may be wrong, but I think they one of the largest regional airlines in the US.

A (UAL employee) presumably traveling as an S/A, would never be offered a voucher by an agent. S/As are non-revs that board after every rev pax is boarded and are entitled to nothing if they can't get on the flt. Something's missing here.
