They earned their way into those seats but United are now virtual signalling to recruit new piot on the basis of skin color or chromosome array. Diversity over merit.
Bet if anyone of those people made a comment about how they WORKED to EARN their position based upon their own SKILL, United would fire them on the spot. Do not think they would be unemployed very long long....
