This is incorrect. Teesside Airport Was the first airport in the UK to do this. Not in the capital so I suppose it doesn’t count!
The second sentence in the article says exactly that. The headline left out the word "second". Looks like a typo.
Finally! In Amsterdam this happened years ago already.
