Navy Drone Violated Washington Airspace
WASHINGTON — The skies over the nation’s capital are crowded with presidential aircraft, military flyovers and the Delta shuttle, but this month a strange new bird was briefly among them: a United States Navy drone that wandered into the restricted airspace around Washington before operators could stop it... Lost control of their drone.... and it didn't head home like it was supposed to. Hmmm... and they wonder why we pilots worry about sharing airspace with these drones. 30ft x 10ft, that's an awful big object that isn't doing it's part of "see and avoid."
