My late father spent a goodly amount of his 33-year Naval career in airborne ASW flying PBM's out over the Atlantic looking for German U-boats. Joining the Navy as a 18 year old kid after the bank took away the 20 acre farm in Redick, Illinois in 1933 and retiring in 1966 as a full Commander. Hand salute~!
