I was just looking at some specs for the Hustler. The Empty Weight without the belly pod was just around 58,000 pounds. But the Max In Flight Gross Weight (AFTER an in flight refuel) could be as heavy as 176,000 pounds. Single pilot aircraft. Plus Nav/Bombardier and Defensive Systems operators, all in tandem cockpits. What a great shot of an amazing aircraft!...first flown in November 1956.
