Lockheed C-130 Hercules (A97207)

The RAAF operated 12 of these C-130As which were supplemented in 1966 by 12 C-130Es. The As were eventually replaced 12 C-130Hs in 1978 and the Es by 12 C-130J Super Hercules in 1999.

This pic was taken at an Edinburgh Airshow which included the presence of RAF Victor tankers, one of which can be partly seen behind the Herc.

For the photographers, this slide was taken on a Kodak Instamatic, the square format picture being cropped.
