Airbus A340-200 (HZ124)

As airlines discard these beautiful aircraft, I am hoping governments and heads of state buy them for state use instead of having them sent to the scrap yards. They would be perfect as low useage transport giving them and the owners long years of service as once the old BOAC/East African/BA/Gulf VC-10's did for the Royal Air Force for decades after airline retirement. They saved Pan AM and BA TriStars for RAF use and they did great work so why not?
