Douglas DC-3 (N56V)

I know - this one isn't flying. In fact, she's undergoing some pretty intense surgery. However, by the time we're done with it, she'll at least look like flying condition! This is Piedmont Airlines' former DC-3, N56V "Potomac Pacemaker", at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. This is what planes look like before they're born - or reborn. Since this photo was taken, the elevators have been installed.
