Seventy-eight years! I wonder how many air miles this old bird has under its wings?

Great shot. What airport, Palm Springs?

Super pic of a grand old bird. Given the age, it's a fine tribute to those who keep them flying for everyone to appreciate them. It can't be an easy task to ensure their integrity, but I'll bet it's a labor of love.

It is so good to see these C-47 being preserved for future generations to enjoy and see living aviation history! Nice capture of her, Gary!

Todd >> Ooops! Sorry about the failure to ID it. It's Reno Stead (RTS). I'll be back out there next week for the race training classes.
Todd, Gav, and Dwight >> TYVM, guys.
Caught Air Force Two visiting Reno today. Not very many folks turned out and of the ones that did, a number of them were made to move along just before it arrived (AND a few were set up at the wrong end - it landed on 16R and they were at 34L). I was able to be about a football field length (90-100 yards) away and it cruised right by me over the perimeter fence and the 16R keys on super short final so I clicked 33 primo shots.

Great catch Gary!
