The climb angle of this one actually became even more steep as it moved away from me. I caught pics of it; however, since those pics don't show the ground, the steep angle is not readily obvious because there is no way to gauge the climb angle in relation to the flat ground. But it sure nuff is an awesome sight watching them going up so steeply. These UPS front office jockeys must be practicing to fly Sir Richard Branson's spaceride someday. lol

Fantastic shot Gary! Beautiful liftoff with the snowy mountain background gives a beautiful perspective! All 5 my friend!

I have seen UPS pilots do these really step departure angles, especially with the A300. It is always a sight to see! Great capture with the white stuff on the ground, Gary!

Darryl & Dwight .... Thanx, guys. (Wave)
Alien .... They knew I was there. They had taxied past me only a few feet away as they were going to 34L and the CP had waved. They were rotating even before they got to me and I wasn't even halfway along the runway. I gave them a fast but clear "Thumbs Up" but I know they weren't paying any attention to me - well, at least I hope they weren't - because takeoff and landing are the two most crucial times of any flight.

Zoom zoom! Great shot.

Tough competition. EVERY shot this week is a 5-star!

The A300 is a rocket ship. Go look at the track log of some of the flights. 4000+ fpm climbs are not uncommon.

Super Photo Gary........this is a nice one that I missed.

The A300's when they take off empty during the morning flight. It is low on fuel and empty and just flies the 100 miles to Milwaukee.....the nose it just pointed up on departure.
