Lousy picture.

I think this is a good picture. If you don't like it them just move past it and not comment. Keep up the good work John.

We shouldn't have to, or need to, "move past it and not comment". The gallery is supposed to be a showcase of the best in aviation photography but when we're bombarded with a combination of hideously out-of-focus photographs and images from other sites it's in danger of becoming anything BUT. Just my two dinars-worth.

Not a bad pic considering the aircraft traveling 600 mph 10 miles down range 6.5 miles high with high altitude haze a what do you expect ?

600 mph? Really?
The normal cruise speed of a C17 is Mach 0.74 (450 kts or 500mph)
What do I expect? I'd expect the photographer to look at that and say "that's a bad photo. I'll keep that one to myself"
I stand by what I said. The site is being bombarded with an almost daily dose of hopelessly out-of-focus images and it's not doing its credibility any good whatsoever

Factor in in a jet stream tail wind of 100 + ,do the math. B-777 went through here at 784 mph two weeks back, what is the cruise for that one ???? He had a tail wind of + 200. Check out the link I do every day.http://www.intellicast.com/National/Wind/JetStream.aspx
