I know that there were two iterations of Braniff Airlines after the 1982 bankruptcy, but they were "Braniff" in name only.

Isn't Sun Country really the "remnants" of the 1982 Braniff International that came together as the new
airline "Sun Country" at that time? If so, does it have any "reminders" of the original Braniff?

I really liked Braniff International. We used to fly it a lot out of Intercontinental (IAH) in Houston back in the 1970's when I was a kid.

Original Braniff ceased ops in 1981. Sun Country was created by several former Braniff pilots and flight attendants in early 1983. Not a re-creation of Braniff, just the creation of a charter airline to "sunny" destinations primarily from MSP.

We affectionately call this livery "Tide Pod One".

I've taken them many rimes from DFW and LAS. Good customer service, usually on time, though the frequency is scarce and changes with the seasons as others do. Leave out of Term. D at DFW and returns which is nice as the international flts from Japan, Australia, London are sometimes there. Sorry to see the QFA A-380s #s 7-8 no longer come in here. Missed my chance to fly it to-from Sydney. oh well maybe it'll return.
