My Dad did this for over 40 years. We (Mom, Dad, brother Austin and myself) would fly out of Weiss Airport, southwest of St. Louis. And go to the Ozarks to find some field or little air-strip to spend the weekend at. That is the way we grew up. At least 2-3 times a month all year-round flying with Dad.
