1. The under fuselage wheel covers should be in the UP position
2. Why no details as to the museum in which the aircraft is displayed>

On Mustangs and many other planes, the inner gear doors will hang down from loss of hydraulic pressure. There are no up locks on the doors themselves, and if parked for some time they will droop. When starting the engine, as hydraulic pressure builds the doors will close.
