Zlin 226.
In 1968, Ray Stern, a professional wrestler purchased a Zlinn- Akrobat, directly from Czechoslovakia.
Bob Lane who was the owner of an FBO in San Carlos, California was his aerobatic instructor. Our FBO
provided a hangar and ALL necessary maintenance. I was 17 at the time with a newly minted PPL. Many time
I was able to obtain dual time in the Zlinn. Ray, became extremely proficient, competing in numerous international meets. What a lifetime memory.
