Canadair CL-415 SuperScooper (N389AC)
Photo while standing on a rock outcropping of the Columbia River. Major fire by Mt. Hood Oregon & 3 water bombers were busy fighting the blaze.

This snap of yours was displayed on a big screen about eight days ago. It was in a slide show presenting one photo from the outstanding folders of each of the 150 FA photo contributors who we (we're just a group of aviation spotters/photogs) selected as the best FA photogs in 2017. You and 149 others, including such top photographers as Phoenix-based Scot W, Boston-based John M., Toronto's Mark T., Germany's Uwe Z., and 145 more; were one we chose. (BTW ... We didn't assign numerical "rankings," we just presented them on-screen alphabetically by last name.) Ken, this looks fantastic on a wall-size screen ... coming right at you. Superb! Many, many thanks for sharing your pictures in this gallery.
