This is the first fatal accident that involves an Embraer 190, an eJet for that matter. Preliminary reports are stating that heavy fog could have been a factor in this accident. It will be interesting to follow this accident and see what investigators discover. My thoughts go to the families and crew.

Actually this and the first fatal accident involving an EMBRAER E. Jet. I do not want to give you a product defense of my country, but I believe that according to reports I have heard and read, the weather conditions were not favorable which always makes one think of a landing, not stabilized within what I said about the accident at San Andres. Plane does not break into three pieces, by lightning on the E190, to my knowledge broke in two, to leave the runway, which may mean an approach with great speed out of the standards of the aircraft. Let's wait for the flight recorders and cockpit. I would like to hear the cockpit recorder, because the E190 has a number of alarms that can tell us other parameters that do not know. Again I mention the syndrome landing, landing and landing, or by order of the compnhia aviaçnao or by decision of the crew. My feelings the people have been killed or not.

As with any crash, speculation gets the best of us - until we know for sure once the accident investigation is released, I always bombard my mind with questions. It is my understanding that China is not exactly the safest part of the world for aircraft maintenence. Just something I have heard...

Vanessa think like you, my mind is thinking what would have happened. Usually, with bad weather there is the syndrome of landing as I said. Of course they are mere speculation, we were not there, we not saw the plane, but the recording boxes will tell us. As for keeping some airlines have good maintenance, but on the other hand, there are bad Chinese pilots, according to a friend who is an instructor there for Airbus in China and that sometimes has a Chinese pilot first officer. The flight control is also very complicated.
So we will wait anxiously for news, but I get my thought that the plane could be in touch with high speed, so it broke in two. Best and take care! If do you like send email for me is: [email protected]

Bad weather should not be an 'excuse' for an accident. Of course it makes the approach more challenging. But if you adhere closely to the procedures to be followed in a low-visibility approrach and fly it on the numbers, you should be fine -- as so many successful bad-weather approaches/landings attest.

This is a highly-sophisticated glass-cockpit aircraft. Very modern. So the pilot's had the best equipment in their hands.

Bad Weather should not be an excuse for bad weather, I totally agree.
