Russia to stop rides to the Space Station for US' astronauts
The tension between United States and Russian Federation because of the Ukrainian crisis has reached orbit, putting at risk the collaboration between the two countries in the International Space Station. Russian Deputy prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has indeed explained that Moscow might stop its partnership with Washington in all the space sectors, including the sale of rocket components for satellite launches and transport of astronauts to and from the ISS. I'm sure that the US has been awaiting this petty nonsense. The Americans helped Roscosmos greatly when it was in peril after the collapse of the USSR. I hope that the sabre rattling comes to a close soon.
Here are some facts that I do not see as petty. FedRus supplies the world with titaniun..that includes ALL the USA aerospace sector FedRus supplies 85% of natural heating gas to Europe. FedRus supplies the rocket motors USA satellite makers use to launch. FedRus supplies 85% or raw petro chemicals to make plastic derivatives in Europe. Now this might not worry politicians like Hillary Clinton but her family will not freeze in the coming winter. Fill in the dots of rest of this post...the server won't accept the content I originally posted...you decide if this situation is petty. One more try to get this uploaded and posted... Do not mess with the Slavs...
I'm not disputing the silly position that the EU has put itself in regarding its dependency on Russian NG. What I am questioning is the baheviour being exhibited by someone who is in a position of such power. My point above regarding Roscosmos is valid. It may not even exist today without assistance in the 90s from NASA.
Many westerners of all classes in society believe that technology in the RusFed is inferior. That is the problem which does not reflect reality. Be under no illusion contemporary military RusFed technology must not be underestimated. Yes it is true that western money went into the RusFed. The fact remains that the USA cannot launch her military assets without a rocket engine. The USA is already $17 trillion dollars in debt and China borders onto the RusFed. North Americans have no concept of the cosequences if NATO troops are deployed onto the FedRus territory.
