Romney thinks airplane windows should open in case of fire

Ann Romney's plane made an emergency landing due to an electrical fire, so Mitt Romney says plane windows should open to let in oxygen when that happens. Never mind that 1) oxygen feeds fire, 2) there isn't that much of it at FL300, and 3) the plane would explode because of the pressure differential. There are only 3 requirements: 35 years of age, natural-born US citizen, and live in the US for at least 14 years. We have millions of qualified citizens, and our choices are *THESE* knucklesheads?

You chose them, the people of this country elect their government, so if the people are unhappy, maybe its our fault that we don't have better leaders in office. And it's very naive to think that these three requirements cut it to be president of the United States. Try to live one hour of the president and you will see that it is one of the most difficult jobs to run a country. As said before, if you are unhappy, then try to run for office, mind that its not easy to get elected.

“When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous. And she was choking and rubbing her eyes. Fortunately, there was enough oxygen for the pilot and copilot to make a safe landing in Denver. But she’s safe and sound.”
