God bless controllers
We as pilots moan and groan on vectors and holds but this guy was awesome. He worked his butt of for that A320. Sure, he didn't come into play but he did all the pilots could ever want. Next long vector for an ILS I will remember this dude. (www.nytimes.com) עוד...

I think it is only the inexperienced pilot who looks at ATC as anything less then another crew member. As a GA pilot who does a lot of single pilot IFR, I have nothing but praise for the help that ATC can provide in pinch. This was a great example.
To be clear, I love 99% of ATC. They tolerate a lot of our boneheaded mistakes. I was just reminding all of the service they provide. We do love to moan about an occasional slam dunk approach as we got last night coming back into Houston but I am sure the controller had his reasons, it was busy. Blue skies, Shawn
