Student apologizes to Southwest flight for boarding early (video)

נשלח לפני

As a high school lacrosse team was waiting to board a flight to a Summer tournament, one athlete took it upon himself to sneak into the pre-board group for "young passengers". He thought he had beaten the system, but his coaches saw the whole thing go down. One hastily written speech and a nice bit of cooperation from the crew of Southwest Airlines Flight 592 later, this video was born. (www.youtube.com) עוד...

I'm sure he did not. Kids will be kids.

You have to be kidding... these kids can't learn anything... and they don't care. He did not sound remorseful. If the Coach saw it, why did he not do something before he boarded...

I'm a kid and I've learned quite a bit, thank you very much. One of the things I learned was not to listen to stereotypical BS such as what you've just posted. Thank you. (I learned to say that too)

You need to learn to watch your mouth and show some respect.

Respect is a mutual value.

Personally Toby, it sounds like he is. He did say thank you and spoke the truth. IMHO

I think he was reading the truth... Possibly what his coach wrote for him to read. To me.... Did not sound sincere... And the FA made him do it.

It may not be "sincere" but anyone who has just been royally humiliated in front of 120+ people is definitely going to reconsider some future actions. I know I would, I can't speak for the rest of the world unfortunately.

I was talking about what Toby said to the one that responded to you here. I agree with you on the one in the video

I hate to say it, but respect is not in most of their book of knowledge... People now days do not care about others, and they prove it everyday, and these kids are proving it even more. They cross the road without looking, and even if they do look they cross anyway knowing the drive will have to stop. I admit, there are a few good ones, but the majority stands out as bad.... The big problem is that they are not taught respect by their parents and or teachers, and this has a lot to do with our political system. We have taken the paddle out of school (big mistake), and with both parents working in most cases, no one at home to teach them much of anything. They get Belligerent and don't really care for others, only themselves. I try to over look most of them, as most of them are not worth a "Plug Nickle" (Check it out school boy: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/260800.html ). If your parents and Grandparents had acted that way in growing up you would not be here, because they would not have survived it.

No matter what time you grew up in, there's always been the group of "bad seeds." Unfortunately that group has and continues to grow as years go onward. I personally am ashamed of the way some of my peers act, but there's nothing I can do about that. These days, you almost have to worry about yourself and help others only if you have the time to do so. What seperates me from other kids that fit the so called "stereotype" is that I'm not afraid to voice my opinion and if I'm going to talk I try to have the common decency to back it up with facts and talk like a normal adult. This is the way the world is and nothing I can do or that you can do will stop it. It's a team effort.

Sad part is, you are pretty well correct, and as the young man says above, there is a lot of stereotyping, most of it pretty well deserved. Looking at his profile, the young man above is a STUDENT and seems to have his head on straight, BUT, he is the exception rather than the rule and will arbitrarily be thrown into that sterotype, whether deserved or not. It is at that point that he will have to break away from it and hopefully he will have a chance to and make his parents proud.

The kid should've gotten a letter of apology for having to fly Southwest.
