La réussite de ce prémier vol dse l'A 350 est fondamentale pour le succès commercial de ce nouvel appareil qui doit concurrencer le dreamliner du boieing 787 qui présentement se trouve dans des difficultés de battérie l'obligeant de ce clouer au sol jusqu'à solutioner ce problème.

Well most of y'all know I'm a Boeing guy, and there are things about the way Airbus does some things I don't like, BUT, it ain't everyday you get to see a brand new airplane fly for the first time and it is exciting. Congratulations to Airbus on a huge milestone.

Can somebody explain why the need for the landing gear to be down so long? I think Boeing did the same for the 787 first flight.

The first flight is to evaluate basic handling and essential systems. Every time you operate a system (gear. flaps etc..) you change aerodynamics and add more variables and possibility of failure.The subsequent flights will slowly add variables and systems so that it is a controlled slow learning process.
