Air India to join Star Alliance on July 11

Air India is expected to announce it will join the Star Alliance family on July 11 at a press conference to be held in New Delhi at 2.30pm local time today. The airline is believed to have received the green light to formally join the Star Alliance group at a meeting of CEOs of the alliance's member airlines held in London overnight. Air India to Become Star Alliance Member

Air India announced that its membership with Star Alliance has been approved. The carrier will officially become a member of the alliance on July 11.
