Congress clears FAA to certify Boeing 737 MAX 7, MAX 10 unchanged

This was the correct result, it makes no safety sense to have some 737s in a fleet with a different alerting system than other 737s. It would arguably decrease aviation safety overall.

Actually reading the article before commenting appears to be too much to ask based on some posts.
If they did read it, they clearly didn’t comprehend what was said. Th truth is, with proper SOPs and training, the original design (while far from ideal) was workable. The upgrades that are being implemented will make a significant safety improvement.
A simple case of flying a plane vs. operating a plane; when the plane doesn't operate as expected, the pilot needs to able to fly it... when the pilot doesn't know how to fly, he crashes.
Yes, and anyone in the cockpit that is not aware of some of the issues probably should not be there.
