I see this as good news... there is definetly a nitche that Turbo Prop A/C can fill. CRJ's and ERJ's of anysize require so much runway that a Turbo Prop and can really help underserved communities.

The physics does not change. There is a performance band in Earth's atmosphere where small turbine blades driving large propulsion blades makes sense...
