Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National) will replace four ARJ-100s, currently used on regional European routes, with three A319-100s and two A320-200s during the upcoming summer season.
Outlining its summer 2016 operational plans, the Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) subsidiary said that with the arrival of added A320 metal, several routes currently operated with A319s would be gradually be upgraded to the A320 during the course of the season. They include: Gothenburg Landvetter, Toulouse Blagnac, Marseilles, London Heathrow, Barcelona El Prat, and Faro.
Last year, airline president Bernard Gustin confirmed plans to complete the retirement of all twelve ARJ-100s by the end of 2017 with A319/A320 aircraft to be used as replacements.
