Boeing 737-200 (N703S)
Here is another snap of SPA's N703S to go along with the other photo I just posted. This shot, which was clicked two days earlier than my other pic and which shows N703S's midmorning landing on RTIA's runway 16L, is a great capture of the deployed clamshell reversers on the old JT8Ds. But the best thrill is when these two Pratt & Whitneys are at max thrust for takeoff as seen in my previous picture. Stand at the far end of the runway when one of Sierra Pacific's two B732s is taking off and then blistering out right near you and the sounds of those fabulous old P&Ws are music to an aircraft spotters ears.
