It appears Flight Aware is wanting to associate this airplane's registration with a Cessna 172... but it is a Piper Tri-Pacer (PA-22-150) made in 1956. I had my first airplane ride in a Tri-Pacer at an airport airshow and open house... at the rate of 1¢ per pound... yes, one copper penny. I still recall the scales we had to stand on.
