I've seen this several times at DFW landing from north. UPS's ramp by Founder's Plaza n-w side a/p is excellent 'spotting' area with maps, picnic tables and real-time atc piped in. One may enter from State Road 121, north remote parking or West Airport Road with good view of A/A's hangars and various 747 cargo a/c.
