Cool. The O'Malley family bought the LA Dodgers a B720-B named the Kay-O II. Kay-O II replaced the O'Malley's Lockheed Electra which Steve Garvey and Steve Yeager told me the team members called the SST - Super Slow Transport.

Watching the Kay-O II approach and land on Rwy 11 - 8000' useable including overrun areas - was an annual event in Vero...we couldn't bet on the outcome of the approach, it was poor form to jinx the team. The noise from the thrust reversers was awesome. No FOD the runway was prepared meticulously for each departure and arrival from spring training beginning until departure for Opening Day.

I grew up in Vero Beach where the Dodgers trained until moronically moving to Arizona in 2009. The new Dodger owners might consider relocating. You can afford to move; you paid $12 Billion for a sports team, I suppose Arizona based teams must enjoy dry heat. March was and continues to be a glorious month in Florida and Vero especially.

Dodger Old Timers can tell of broad sandy beaches, gentle early morning breezes during intra-squad practice games, and at the batting cages, during coaching sessions, and golf on Dogertown courses, parties at the Tahitian and Ocean Grill...road trips to WPB and Orlando for entertainment. Arizona has cactus, sidewinders, and gilla monsters. And deserts with a giant Meteor Crater.
Florida has A1A and the Conch Republic. Fellow Boomers: "We ARE the people our parents warned us about".
