Great shot Kaden!
thanks john
Nice shot. There are very few 747-SP aircraft still flying.
The type designator is B74S. Please don't make up your own.
Nice private one !!
Hey Samuel, get over yourself. When this model was introduced it was indeed the 747SP. Paul was not making up his own.
We just sold it!!
What a jerk!! It is a 747-SP, not changing the designator since he didn’t put the “B” first. Just a statement of what it is. And Yes, I did fly VP-BLK several time!!
That paint scheme makes the vertical fin look massive. Cool
That's a very nice shot, Kaden! And let me try to help out with Samuel's comment. When entering the aircraft type in FA, it wants/needs/expects you to enter the ICAO Aircraft Type Designator for that aircraft. Then it will display the name of the aircraft next to the registration. So, when he says don't make up your own, I think that is what he means. B74S is the ICAO type designator for the Boeing 747-SP, and that is what FA needs you to enter for it to display correctly. 747S won't work even though we know what you mean. Check out the ICAO site here:

dicky11,
When you have 2 on your ramp they really look massive! Here is a link that has a shot of our ramp
with both VP-BLK and VQ-BMS. Unfortunately VQ-BMS was severely damaged by the Lake Charles
hurricane years ago. The pressure bulkhead was compromised and Boeing would not sign off on repairs.
Sadly it was chopped up.

Get off your high horse Samuel. Sometimnes Flight Aware makes one up for you, no matter what you input.
BTW, that is a great shot, Kaden.
That aircraft is now stored and is awaiting its fate in MCI scrap yard
