31 OCT 2016.
First scheduled A380 service to CHC. Used to be EK418 , a B77W from DXB-BKK and SYD, now DXB-SYD-CHC.

Christchurch Airport made a big day of it, opening an area near the runway for parking and viewing.
They invited all photographers to come out as well as the general public.

What they didnt say however, was that you werent allowed a ladder near the fence, so it had to be viewed through the wires !

“Airport Safety” was the reason given by some import security guard wog. So, down the road I went , up against the fence and had no problems !
Christchurch is turning out to be a very user unfriendly airport !
