Beautiful shot
Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I just love the vibrant colors.
That is actually a 737-9 MAX. Note the new winglets.
Wrong Joe, those are split scimitar singlets not MAX winglets.
Joe, when the Max debuts in the coming year, you can easily identify it by the serrated edges of the nacelle.
I made the same mistake when I boarded a SWA 737 modified with the split scimitar winglets.

Love the colors!
I think that's the Missouri state flag painted on it. Not sure why though.
Do they have planes painted for each state?

It is the MO state Flag! Such great vibrant colors..Luv Southwest!
Kyle,
Southwest has had I believe ten "state livery" planes.
Texas (Lone Star) debuted 1990
Arizona 1994
California 1995
Nevada 1999
New Mexico 2000
Maryland 2005
Illinois 2008
Florida 2010
Colorado 2012
Missouri 2015
Plus several other interesting ones for Sea World, Sport Illustrated, the NBA, etc.
