Thank you. I turned around when he pulled in, and had only a couple of seconds to get the shot the way I wanted it.

Written on 04/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thanks. It was interesting taking a photo from that spot.

N75342 is a T-6 Texan. This looks more like a TBM Avenger.

Written on 21/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I really like this shot. Very quiet and peaceful looking.

Written on 19/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

It's a Boeing V-22 Osprey, designed for both vertical and horizontal flight.

Hold the camera straight - hold the camera straight - hold the camera straight....
It is actually an interesting photo: a King Air A100.
But we don't know this, because the photo is not labeled.

Nice!

Written on 23/08/2014 by Guido Warnecke

Great shot. I really like the composition.

Camera is a Canon 5D Mark II. Amazing sensor technology for low light shots.

Thanks, Ron!
I hope the AG pilot sees you - or you get a new hair cut...

Awesome picture!

Timing is everything and you got it on this one. Good shot. I like the way the wings line up on a straight line.

Thanks clif...I noticed the white bandit in the background and then noticed the bigger prize behind it

Wow! A MU2 is fast, but here the wind helped a bit. Welcome to the 400 kts turboprop club!
I am still waiting for my membership...

This is a staff pick?!!

Written on 20/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Great shot. Good use of lines and composition.

Written on 21/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I agree. It's not necessary to post every-single-snap of the shutter, especially when 99% of it is terrible and should have been deleted. It's absolutely ridiculous to post 74 snapshots of the same plane on approach and takeoff. These are terrible images and a waste of time and space on FlightAware's storage space.

Written on 12/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

What a bad photo!

Written on 23/07/2014 by Guido Warnecke

Gook shot. I like it in BW.

Written on 29/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

In which sense does this one and other photos of yours contribute to a flight tracking and plane spotting web site?

Written on 07/12/2013 by Guido Warnecke

I like this one.

Written on 07/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I actually did recognize it as a P-51 but it still should have been identified when posted as well as just a little detail behind the photo. I agree with a no or low vote with the lack of any commentary.

Written on 12/05/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

And this plane is a what? It was taken where? Taken when? Airshow, flight test?

Written on 12/05/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

It's a Rutan Varieze

Written on 30/06/2014 by Jeff Lawson

Nice photo but it is a U.S. Air Force photo taken by Tech. Sgt. Ben Bloker.

Written on 07/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I am almost sure your camera came with a little booklet - description of the main function e.g. zoom.
May be it is worth to have a look at it.

The best C501 in the market!

Written on 16/03/2014 by Guido Warnecke

Thanks. I've photographed this aircraft a lot.

Written on 23/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thanks. I've taken many of this plane and yet kept on taking it every time I saw it. The guy that owned it was a hot dog which made for some good angles sometimes.

Written on 28/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Ron Harper - GPS the address I've pasted below. It will get you within 100 feet of the location. It's a street that dead ends against the airport's fence. Plane-spotters are strongly advised to call KIAH Airport Operations to "check in" with them. Tell them you're at "Rankin Road" and they'll ask you a few questions.

2501 Rankin Road
Houston, TX 77032

A blurred photo....great contribution to the plane spotter community...

Written on 27/07/2014 by Guido Warnecke

Agree.

Written on 19/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Did this plane take off or slide off?

Written on 19/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Heat haze.

Written on 17/09/2013 by concord977

Thanks. It is indeed a special airplane and it was a thrill to see 76 of them in one place (Gathering of Mustangs and Legends airshow).

Written on 13/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Very nice. This looks so peaceful and serene, a good place to take a walk and relax.

Written on 24/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Yes, it's oversharpened, somewhat uneven edges, but I think the background lends itself to BW. If it were an Army UH-1, it would be perfect with the background.

Pilatus P2 in Japanese markings. Interesting

Written on 19/01/2017 by sam kuminecz

It's obviously an airport, but when? Where?

Written on 29/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I don't know, I can see a background. A building, grass, even a car. Image is a little crooked though. What needs to be considered is, 'should it be posted.'

Written on 19/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Pretty brutal, Steven. I took a look at his postings and he has some very good images, many with some kind of 'background' and some are even on the ground(!) While there is a little repetition there and there, his work seems to be pretty good to me. And, an aircraft against a blue sky isn't always such a bad thing. Looking at what you have posted, I would suggest thinking about what should and shouldn't be posted, such as really dark and underexposed images that warrant one ★.

Hi Todd,
yes, the video is in the works.
Happy Landings,
